Northconnex

The Northconnex project involved the construction of a nine kilometre tunnel under Pennant Hills Rd from the M1 Motorway at Hornsby to the M2 Motorway at Pennant Hills.

Scope of Works:

Civil & Tunnel completed works across the length of the project including:

• Excavation of rock cuts for the widening of the M2 motorway, including final trim of rock batters with GPS guided twin headers
• Deviation of the Benson Close Water Main to enable noise wall construction along the M1 Motorway
• Installation of tunnel drainage including rock sawing, trench excavation, pipe and pit installation and concrete encasement
• Installation of ITS cable route including subduct
• Installation of 150 and 250 DICL fire and deluge main
• Supply of Bull Gang crews
• Supply of tunnel plant and labour for tunnel fit out works
