The project involved the construction of a rail underpass tunnel at North Strathfield station and upgrades to North Strathfield and Concord West Stations

Civil & Tunnel’s Scope of Works:

• Civil & Tunnel were engaged by Arenco / John Holland to supply plant, labour and supervision during two time critical track possessions to excavate and  renew approximately 80m of existing station platform at Concord West station.
• The culverts were 2.4m x 1.2m x 1.8m.
• The excavators (13 ton and 5 ton) were lifted onto the platform and the culverts into position using a  300t crane over the existing platform buildings.
